A 44-year-old Chicago man is dead after two pit bulls mauled him to death in his South Side home, WLS-TV Chicago reports.

Charles Hagerman‘s (pictured) death was ruled an accident by the medical examiner. He was found dead on Wednesday night after suffering fatal bites to his body. One of the dogs was reportedly found gnawing on the man’s neck when his body was discovered.
