Flight Attendant Mistakenly Brings Gun To Airport Security; Cop Fires It By Mistake!

As Republic Airlines flight attendant Jaclyn Luby (pictured) was making her way though Airport security at the Philadelphia International Airport on Monday, a TSA agent spotted her .38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver in her carryon. ABC affiliate WPVI-TV reports that it was a mistake, but the incident ended up becoming much more than that. After the gun was spotted, Luby was immediately taken to another room for questioning.

She has a carrying permit for the weapon.

When a Philadelphia police officer was attempting to secure the gun, it went off. The bullet went throw a well but no one was injured. Philly police have launched an investigation into how their officer handled the gun. The officer has been put on desk duty.

As for Luby, she taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct. She was later released. Police confiscated Luby’s gun and said that it would be up to the county that issued her gun permit if she will get it back, according to NBC 10 Philadelphia.
