The government shutdown in October lasted 16 days and cost at least $24 billion, and there are fears another one may be coming on Jan. 15. That’s when the money runs out again unless Congress extends funding.
On NewsOne Now with Roland Martin, Rep. James Clyburn shared his thoughts about what’s coming. ”I’m afraid that these folks are waiting for us to get rid of Social Security and Medicare,” Clyburn said. “And these are not things that Democrats are going to get rid of.”
