(Washington, DC) — At least three dumpster fires have been set in Capitol Hill over the last four weeks, and it has residents a little on edge. Most of the fires have occurred in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and 3rd Street, SE. Investigators believe all the fires have been intentionally set. No one has been hurt in any of the incidents, though residents are concerned because they’re set so close to the sides of buildings. There have been several high-profile dumpster fires in Capitol Hill over the last few years, which have resulted in some major damage to area businesses. It is not known if the most recent incidents are related.
