Washington Football Team Host Lunch For Breast Cancer Survivors

ASHBURN, Va. – Washington Washington Football Team players Chris Cooley and Derrick Dockery along with their wives hosted 20 local ladies battling breast cancer for a special luncheon on Tuesday at Washington Football Team Park in Ashburn.

A number of other Washington Football Team players and coaches joined the Cooleys and the Dockerys at the 2nd Annual All Star Survivors Luncheon. It’s just one of many events the Washington Football Team are hosting as part of the NFL’s breast cancer awareness campaign.

The ladies were treated to a pink-themed lunch in the players’ cafeteria, and after that they were in for an afternoon of pampering. Each of the women got a new wig and scarf, a makeup session, and $300 worth of makeup. They also got a new pair of jeans, gold earrings and a custom made pink and burgundy jersey.

Cooley started the luncheon last year when his mother was battling breast cancer.
