(College Park, MD)  —  The victim of a vicious attack outside a College Park church on Christmas Eve is speaking out about the incident for the first time.  Sixty-nine-year-old Wayne Williams was napping in his car outside the Holy Redeemer Church when 29-year-old Shannon Washington attacked him, breaking numerous bones in his face.  Washington was sentenced to 20-years in prison for the attack this week.  As for how he feels about that sentencing, Wayne tells WJLA-TV quote, “I think that the only true satisfaction would be for it to not have happened and I’m not going to get anything like that.”  Williams says there are many people he credits for saving his life: “The 911 operator that night was probably the first person who saved my life, the people in the rescue squad down the street who saved me on my way to the hospital and the people in the Washington Hospital Center who saved my life several times.”
