New York is on fire!!! Again. On Sunday night, the NY Giants defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI.

RELATED: Madonna’s Halftime Show: Aging or Ageless?

Weren’t we here just four years ago, when Jarvis Green, then a New England Patriots defensive end, let Eli Manning’s jersey slip out of his hand?

But Sunday night was different. Manning tarnished Tom Brady‘s majestic armor and made the New York Empire proud.

Super Bowl night didn’t start off well for the Patriots. Early on, the safety net was taken away as Brady gave up two points in the game, which placed the ball right back into Manning’s hands for the Giant’s first touchdown.

But the tide would change as Brady marched New England into the lead with a field goal. By halftime, Brady and company were ahead 10-9. Afterward, Madonna entertained during halftime, looking like a robot pacing the stage for Valvoline oil — she was pretty impressive for a 53-year-old!

As Brady threw another touchdown strike, the second half of the game started in New England’s favor. The Giants kept their poise, though, and chipped away with a couple of field goals to keep the game close at 17-15.

By the fourth quarter, the game was thrilling as Manning performed another signature comeback in the final period, driving New York down the field for the go-ahead score by Bradshaw. With the Giants ahead 21-17, Brady and company only had less than a minute to pull off a miracle.

But it wasn’t gonna happen.

Ahmad Bradshaw scored the biggest — and strangest — touchdown. Who wasn’t waiting for him to take a cigarette out of his pocket and smoke it? New York proved once again that they are still the coolest state in the world.

Former Patriots defensive lineman Jarvis Green remembers playing against the Giants in the Super Bowl like it was yesterday.

In the 2007 Super Bowl, quarterback Eli Manning managed to escape the grasp of Green and completed a pass to David Tyree that would later result in a winning score. The end result was a 17-14 loss for the Patriots to the Giants.

Green couldn’t sleep for weeks because of that play and would sometimes wake up in cold sweats. Today, he’s still wide awake to watch the rematch of the Giants and the Patriots, hoping for redemption.

NewsOne: What are the differences between the team today and what are their chances?

Jarvis Green: There are seven guys from the ’07 year that are still there now, and they are a very important part of the chemistry of the team. Of course, they’re also older players.

I think what’s different is that we have a really strong defense compared to then, so that’s the biggest thing. [The Giants have] an Eli Manning. He had a helluva game in ’07, but he’s playing probably the best football of his career this year, so that makes a difference.

I think the front seven this year is better than the front seven we had in ’07. They got a good line. I think the biggest thing for this upcoming game is they get rid of the ball and make some big plays.

NewsOne: What do you think the Patriots need to look out for?

JG: I think the pass rush and watching them dive on second and third down, because the Giants have plenty of good cornerbacks. Also, they have to make sure that Gronkowski, the big tight end, doesn’t get jammed, if he gets jammed, the game is over.

NewsOne: What do you think the Giants should look out for?

JG: They need to look out for their tight end, make sure not to allow [quarterback] Tom Brady to get hot, and also I think the sleeper of the game are the running backs. If the Giants rush the way they rush the middle, it’s going to be pretty much wide open for them to get in there and have a power running attack.

NewsOne: Do you think the momentum is that much stronger because of the momentum from 2007?

JG: I think so. I remember I talked with one of my friends that owns a restaurant at the stadium and she said the pep rally had 25,000 people in the stands. I said that was probably the biggest crowd ever. I think it’s gonna something different.

NewsOne: What’s your prediction?

JG: I gotta say that with these two teams, it’s not gonna be a blowout. It’s gonna be a helluva game all the way down to the wire.

NewsOne: Talk about that 2007 game. What were some of the major mistakes for the Patriots?
JG: The major mistake was that the Giants got to Brady a lot. He played the game on his back. We had a lot of momentum changes in the game. We played them all the way through the entire game until that last drive—I think that changed my life. After that game I didn’t sleep at all, because I kept replaying that play.

NewsOne: Do you think there’s more momentum for the Patriots or are people rooting for the Giants?

JG: I know when I played, people loved to hate us because they thought we were too successful. It’s sad because the Giants beat the Patriots this year, but who is the underdog for this Super Bowl? The best team is gonna win. That’s all I can say.

Do I go to an Irish Pub and down shots as I watch my favorite team lose?

Do I sip cocktails at my favorite happy hour spot?

Do I go to a friend’s house and hope that they’re not scooping drinks out of a fraternity house garbage pail?

According to New York City mixologist Duane Fernandez, Jr, the solution is simple:

You don’t have to leave your house when [I] show you how to make your own drinks. Plus, you’ll be the coolest kid in the neighborhood with some trend-setting recipes.

Fernandez says that beer cartels are the latest rage; that’s incorporating beer with booze for you uninitiated. This way, all of the different crowds – from the casual happy-hour set to the boozing, upchucking college students — can be in the same room.

Fernandez has 10 years of experience in the industry and his recipes have received accolades from GQ Magazine, Timeout New York, the New York Times, and NBC News. He was also the top finalist in Season 2 of the NBC reality show “The Search for America’s Top Bartender.”

Keenly observant of popular drinking trends, Fernandez says that “Punch Bowl Cartels” are making a comeback. Created in India in 1700, old-school Indian bartenders would incorporate spices and juices into their punch bowls, and thirsty revelers would scoop their drinks — just like at your favorite fraternity party. Fernandez says that he has witnessed a resurgence of this method at cocktail lounges across the country.

While people are talking about beer cartels (wine cartels are already popular), they haven’t officially begun yet — so you will be the first! Here are Fernandez’s three recipes:

All American Punch

Serves 10 to 20 people

1 bottle of Makers Mark Kentucky Bourbon

1 quart of fresh squeezed lemon juice

1 quart of Simple syrup

½ quart of boiling hot water

½ quart of super fine sugar boiled down

The boiled down sugar as a part of the ingredients will balance off the fresh squeezed lemon juice and then you can add about 10 dashes of liquid smoke. You can also incorporate three cans of all American Budweiser, which will give it a crisp, elegant flavor.

The Mexican Football

Serves 10 to 20 people

2 oz. Avion Tequila

1 oz. of fresh squeezed lime juice

½ oz. of jalapeno simple syrup

Shake up this drink and then pour it over fresh ice. Then you can top it off with Corona. Serve this drink at halftime.

The Fourth Quarter

Serves 10 to 20 people

1 oz. of Makers Mark 46 (spicy Bourbon)

Back it up with a shot of Guinness

Hopefully your team is winning because this is a celebratory shot.

Although Serena Williams has won more career prize money than any other female athlete in history, she admitted to CNN that she “actually never liked sports.”

SEE ALSO: Why Black Women Are The New Face Of The Weight Loss Industry

The 23-time Grand Slam title winner and part owner of an NFL team, continued:

I just want to be able to do other things that I’m doing and expand on that. I think that helps keep my motivation up … I don’t love tennis today, but I’m here. I can’t live without it.

It’s not that I’ve fallen out of love with it. I’ve actually never liked sports and I never understood how I became an athlete,” Williams continued.

I don’t like working out, I don’t like anything physical. If it involves sitting down or shopping, I’m excellent at it.

And Williams is not alone. According to recent polls, more than half of this nation’s population is unsatisfied with their jobs and more than 70 percent are “not engaged” in their work. The polls also reveal that there has been a downward trend in job satisfaction for more than two decades – no doubt exacerbated by the recession (one study showed that employee disengagement costs $300 billion in productivity a year).

Clearly, even Serena can’t turn her job into just “shopping” so here are nine tips for overcoming a job that has lost its luster:

1. CHART IT OUT

Take a moment to write down a long-term career plan and then visualize how the job fits into your grand scheme. [americasjobexchange.com]

2. MATERIALIZE THE VISION

Keep a tactile, visible reminder that this job is a stepping stone on your path by creating a Post-it note vision board. Many people post pictures of loved ones in their cubicles; perhaps now is the time to add yourself to the picture. [lifehack.com]

3. STAY FOCUSED

Avoid making “I hate my job” a mantra (especially when speaking with co-workers or supervisors) and consider focusing on aspects of your job that are enjoyable and fulfilling. Having a renewed focus gives you the agency to pursue greater opportunities that involve tasks that you do enjoy. If it’s difficult to identify these aspects, make an effort to compliment a co-worker on a job well done at least once a week, you may start to discover what you love by examining what you admire. [believedreamlove.com]

4. LEARN TO LOVE

Identify what you don’t like about your job – just one aspect for now – and then find something good about it. For example, if you don’t like writing a weekly report, maybe you’ll start to appreciate it as the one time a week that you get to truly reflect on and acknowledge what you’ve accomplished. [drzimmerman.com]

5. LEARN TO LOSE

If ideas No. 3 and No. 4 fail, see if you can “delegate, swap, or de-emphasize” the parts of the job you don’t like. [resumark.com]

6. FIND FREEDOM

If idea No. 5 fails, imagine what work you’d be willing to do for free and then consider what it is that you love about that type of work and determine if it can be applied to your current job. For example, one writer discovered that what he actually loved about playing soccer as a child was “quickly finding solutions to problems on the field and planning tactics before the game to get an advantage.” Now he applies this tactic to his work with tech companies. [lifehacker.com]

7. HAVE AN EXIT STRATEGY

If you are not learning anything new, you wake up every day dreading the rest of your day, you don’t get along with any of your co-workers, or you are not earning enough to pay your bills, it may be time to quit. Be as planned as you can in quitting, though, and make looking for your new job, your second job. Make sure you save several months of pay in reserve before you jump out there (even if you secure a new job, there will be a transition period before your first new check clears). [money.usnews.com]

8. KEEP GROWING

If it’s the field or the work that you love, but not so much the company or the title, pursue continued learning classes that your job offers so that your skills are sharp. It will boost your resume, which you should update regularly along with online profiles. When an opportunity to take a new position arises, you will be prepared. [americasjobexchange.com]

9. TAKE CHARGE

Realize that you are the boss of your own life and your job is a paid learning experience in your path to realizing your dream.

Have you ever wondered how many black Heisman winners there were? Well the NewsOne Team searched the web and couldn’t find a list. So we made one for you! Officially, there are 27. Unofficially, there are 28. (Reggie Bush of USC forfeited his 2005 trophy in 2010) Eight Heisman trophies went to black players in the 1980s alone.

SEE ALSO: Top 5 Reasons to Visit Africa

Tweny-one were running backs, four were quarterbacks, two were wide receivers, and one was a defensive back. USC produced the most black Heisman trophy winners with five- all of whom were running backs.

Below is a list of black players who took home N.C.A.A. Football’s highest honor.

1961: Ernie Davis, Running Back

Syracuse

The first African-American Heisman Trophy winner in 1961, Davis paved the way for a generation of black Heisman hopefuls to come. He was selected as the first overall draft pick in the 1962 NFL draft, the first African American to be so honored. Tragically, he was diagnosed acute monocytic leukemia in the summer of 1962 and died in May of 1963 at age 23. Davis never played a down of N.F.L football.

1965: Mike Garrett, Running Back

USC

Garrett won the Heisman in 1965 as a tailback with USC. From 1993-2010, he was USC’s athletic director.

1968: O.J. Simpson, Running Back

USC

“The Juice,” as he was so affectionately nicknamed, was perhaps the first celebrity African American Heisman winner. He won the award in 1968 after his senior year at University of Southern California. O.J. went on to have a Hall Of Fame career in the N.F.L. and became one of the most recognized and marketable professional athletes of his era.

1972: Johnny Rodgers, Wingback/Running back

Nebraska

Rodgers won the Heisman back in 1972 at the University of Nebraska. He played wingback, which is a player on the field who can line up as a receiver or take hand-offs as a running back. He was convicted of grand larceny in 1971 for robbing a gas station. Rodgers is the only Heisman winner to have been convicted of a felony before receiving the award.

1974 and 1975: Archie Griffin, Running Back

Ohio State

Griffin was the first player ever to start in four Rose Bowls and is college football’s only two-time Heisman Trophy winner. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1976 N.F.L. draft with the 24th overall pick but did not duplicate his college success at the next level.

1976: Tony Dorsett, Running Back

Pittsburgh

Dorsett became an All-American running back during his freshman year at the University of Pittsburgh. He capped off his stellar college career with an N.C.A.A. Championship and Heisman trophy in 1976. Dorsett went on to have a extra-ordinary career with the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos. He was enshrined in the N.F.L. Hall of Fame in 1994.

1977: Earl Campbell, Running Back

Texas

The University of Texas star won the Heisman Trophy in 1977 and went on be considered one of the most bruising running backs in the history of the N.F.L. He was enshrined in the N.F.L. Hall of Fame in 1991.

1978: Billy Sims, Running Back

Oklahoma

A running back at Oklahoma, Sims won the award in 1978.

1979: Charles White, Running Back

USC

Another USC running back great, White won the Heisman back in 1979.

1980: George Rogers, Running Back

South Carolina

Rogers won the Heisman in 1980 as a star running back for the South Carolina Gamecocks.

1981: Marcus Allen, Running Back

USC

Another one of those great USC running backs who went on to the N.F.L. to have a Hall of Fame career.

1982: Herschel Walker, Running Back

Georgia

The former running back at the University of Georgia won the Heisman in 1982. He went to play for several N.F.L. teams to rack up 8,225 rushing yards, 4,859 receiving yards, and 5,084 kickoff-return yards in 12 seasons. He also has 84 touchdowns: 61 rushing, 21 receiving and two kick off returns for touchdowns.

1983: Mike Rozier, Running Back

Nebraska

A running back at Nebraska, Rozier won the Heisman in 1983.

1985: Bo Jackson, Running Back

Auburn

One of the greatest athletes ever, Jackson won the Heisman in 1985. His career was cut short due to injures. But even during his short N.F.L. career, Jackson showed all of the indicators he ready for greatness. He played professional baseball when he wasn’t running over linebackers.

Bo Jackson Highlights:

1987: Tim Brown,Wide Receiver

Notre Dame

Tim Brown was the first wide receiver to win the Heisman Trophy. The Notre Dame standout electrified almost every game he played in and took his skills to the next level where he spent 16 years building a Hall of Fame N.F.L. career.

1988: Barry Sanders, Running Back

Oklahoma State

There are few college Heisman Trophy winners who can say their professional careers were superior to their college days. Barry Sanders is one of the few who can. The ease with which the Sanders juked his opponents at the college level was eye dropping enough. But when he joined the Detroit Lions, he seemed to get even more freakishly insane with his angle-breaking moves. Check out the video below if you’re feeling nostalgic for old number 20.

1989: Andre Ware, Quarterback

Houston

Ware was the first black quarterback to win the Heisman trophy in 1989. As a junior at the University of Houston, he threw for 4,699 yards, 44 touchdowns, and set 26 NCAA records. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions but washed out at the professional level. Right now, he is a radio broadcaster in Houston.

1991: Desmond Howard, Wide Receiver

Michigan

Howard, known for the iconic Heisman pose in the endzone during the 1991 Michigan-Ohio State game, brought a dignity and class to the award that sets the standard that every Heisman alum should strive for. Though he did not have a Hall Of Fame career in the N.F.L., he did have his moments. He led the N.F.L. in punt returns, punt return yards and punt return average and touchdowns during the 1996 season.

1993: Charlie Ward, Quarterback

Florida State

The former Florida State Seminole had a flare about him that had his fans praying he’d take his quarterbacking skills to the next level. He opted for a basketball career instead. His N.B.A. career was a successful one.

1994: Rashaan Salaam, Running Back

Colorado

Saleem enjoyed one of the best college careers as a running back ever rushing for more than 2,000 years at the University of Colorado and wining the Heisman Trophy in 1994. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in 1995 and ran for 1,000 yards and ten touchdowns. during his rookie campaign. But injuries ended his career early and he never met up to the high expectations placed upon him.

1995: Eddie George, Running Back

Ohio State

A Heisman Trophy winner in 1995 at Ohio State University , George went on to have an excellent professional career with the Tennessee Titans before injures ended it early. His numbers-10,441 rushing yards, 268 receptions, 2,227 receiving yards, and 78 touchdowns (68 rushing and ten receiving)-are arguably Hall of Fall worthy.

1997: Charles Woodson, Defensive Back

Michigan

The only defensive player to win the Heisman, the Michigan Wolverine showed that defensive prowess is as critical to team success as great quarterbacking. And Woodson didn’t disappoint us when he got to the N.F.L., either. He is still a shutdown cornerback who should make the Hall of Fame soon after he hangs up his jersey in Green Bay.

1998: Ricky Williams, Running Back

Texas

The University of Texas star is perhaps better known for his wedding dress cover on Sports Illustrated than for his prowess on the football field. His on-again, off-again football career has been dogged with drug use and mental health issues. He is currently playing with the Baltimore Ravens.

1999: Ron Dayne, Running Back

Wisconsin

The former Badger holds the N.C.A.A. record for career rushing yards. He is currently a free agent in the N.F.L and has enjoyed a successful, but not star-studded career.

2005: Reggie Bush, Running Back *

USC

Easily the most electrifying running back of the past ten years, the USC running back ripped apart the best defenses in college football. While the N.C.A.A. may have wiped Bush’s name off of the record books, YouTube will keep his ESPN highlight performances etched in our memories for years to come. Officially, Bush is off of the record books as a Heisman winner because he forfeited his trophy in 2010 amid mounting allegations he took favors while at USC.

Reggie Bush USC Highlights

2006: Troy Smith, Quarterback

Ohio State

One of the few black quarterbacks to win the award, Smith led the Buckeyes to the N.C.A.A. National Championship game in 2006. But he was another college star who could not duplicate his success at the professional level. He is currently playing with the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League.

2009: Mark Ingram, Running Back

Alabama

Ingram, who won the Heisman as a sophomore running back in 2009, set the Crimson Tide’s single-season rushing record with 1,658 yards and was voted to the AP All-America first-team. He helped Alabama win the 2010 BCS National Championship Game. He is currently playing with the New Orleans Saints.

2010: Cam Newton, Quarterback

Auburn

He was the guy many in the mainstream media wanted to hate. The Heisman everyone thought would surely bust as soon as he pulled an N.F.L. jersey over his shoulder pads. Well, the first year quarterback is leading the Carolina Panthers as well as any veteran could and will surely be Rookie of the Year at season’s end.

2011: Robert Griffin III, Quarterback

Baylor

The quarterback from Baylor won the Heisman trophy on December 10th, 2011, becoming the school’s first winner ever. Griffin has yet to officially declare for the N.F.L. draft.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse University fired associate head basketball coach Bernie Fine on Sunday in the wake of an investigation of child molestation allegations against him.

“At the direction of Chancellor Cantor, Bernie Fine’s employment with Syracuse University has been terminated, effective immediately,” Kevin Quinn, the school’s senior vice president for public affairs, said in a statement.

The 65-year-old Fine was in his 36th season at his alma mater. He had the longest active streak of consecutive seasons at one school among assistant coaches in Division I.

Fine’s firing comes in the wake of new revelations Sunday, including a third accuser. Syracuse had placed Fine on paid administrative leave when accusations first surfaced.

Two former Syracuse ball boys were the first to accuse Fine, who has called the allegations “patently false.”

Zach Tomaselli, 23, of Lewiston, Maine, said Sunday that he told police that Fine molested him in 2002 in a Pittsburgh hotel room. He said Fine touched him “multiple” times in that one incident.

Tomaselli, who faces sexual assault charges in Maine involving a 14-year-old boy, said during a telephone interview with The Associated Press that he signed an affidavit accusing Fine following a meeting with Syracuse police last week in Albany.

Tomaselli’s father, meanwhile, maintains his son is lying.

Two former Syracuse ball boys were the first to accuse Fine, who has called the allegations “patently false.”

Bobby Davis, now 39, told ESPN that Fine molested him beginning in 1984 and that the sexual contact continued until he was around 27. A ball boy for six years, Davis told ESPN that the abuse occurred at Fine’s home, at Syracuse basketball facilities and on team road trips, including the 1987 Final Four.

Davis’ stepbrother, Mike Lang, 45, who also was a ball boy, told ESPN that Fine began molesting him while he was in fifth or sixth grade.

No one answered the door at the Fine home Sunday. Earlier in the day, his attorneys released a statement saying Fine would not comment beyond his initial statement.

“Any comment from him would only invite and perpetuate ancient and suspect claims,” attorneys Donald Martin and Karl Sleight said. “Mr. Fine remains hopeful of a credible and expeditious review of the relevant issues by law enforcement authorities.”

Pete Moore, director of athletic communications at the university, said head coach Jim Boeheim “is not commenting further on the subject at this time.”

When a reporter called Boeheim after Fine was fired, he hung up.

During his long career with Syracuse, Fine tutored the likes of Derrick Coleman, LeRon Ellis and John Wallace in his role of working with post players. Coleman was the top pick in the 1990 NBA draft, Ellis was the Clippers’ 22nd overall choice in 1991, and Wallace was picked 18th in 1996 by the New York Knicks.

Boeheim and Fine met at Syracuse University in 1963, when Fine was student manager of the basketball team. Fine graduated in 1967 with a degree in personal and industrial relations and went into business for himself.

In 1970, Fine was named basketball and football coach at Lincoln Junior High in Syracuse and went to Henninger High School the next year as the junior varsity basketball coach. He became varsity basketball coach in 1975. When Boeheim was chosen to succeed Roy Danforth at Syracuse in 1976 Boeheim offered Fine a job as an assistant.

Fine was an integral part of the staff that guided Syracuse to the national championship in 2003. During his tenure the Orange also made two other appearances in the NCAA title game, losing in 1987 to Indiana and in 1996 to Kentucky. He also guided the U.S. Maccabiah team to a silver medal at the 1993 World Maccabiah Games in Israel and has served as director of a successful basketball camp in the Northeast.

Tomaselli said the scandal at Penn State involving former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky prompted him to come forward. Sandusky is accused in a grand jury indictment of sexually abusing eight boys over a 15-year period.

“It was the Sandusky stuff that came out that really made me think about it,” Tomaselli said in the phone interview. “A lot of people were slamming ESPN and Bobby for saying anything. I wanted to come out. … It made me sick to see all that support for Fine at that point. I was positive he was guilty.”

Tomaselli told the Post-Standard that he didn’t ask Syracuse police or federal authorities for help in getting the criminal charges dismissed against him in Maine.

Tomaselli was arrested in April on 11 warrants charging gross sexual assault, tampering with a victim, two counts of unlawful sexual contact, five counts of visual sexual aggression against a child and unlawful sexual touching and unlawful sexual contact, Lewiston police said Sunday. They did not say what led to the charges. He has pleaded not guilty.

Tomaselli told the Post-Standard he met Fine after he and his father, Fred, attended a Syracuse autograph session on campus in late 2001.

The newspaper reported that Fine later called Tomaselli’s parents to arrange for Tomaselli to go to Pittsburgh with the athletic department staff on a chartered bus, spend the night in Fine’s hotel room and attend the team’s game on Jan. 22, 2002.

Tomaselli told the Post-Standard that he had dinner with the team, then returned to the hotel room where he accused Fine of putting porn on the TV and fondling him in bed.

Tomaselli attended the basketball game the next day, sitting several rows behind the bench, and rode the chartered bus back to Syracuse, the newspaper reported.

“The one time there was multiple incidents in that one night, but there was only one night that he ever sexually abused me,” Tomaselli told the AP.

However, during a phone interview with the AP, Fred Tomaselli said: “I’m 100 percent sure that Bernie Fine was never in contact with Zach. He never went to Pittsburgh to a game, never been to that arena.”

“I brought him to a couple of games in Syracuse. We always sat in the nosebleed section and left after the game. He never stayed for any overnighters and never even got within shouting distance of Bernie.”

The Post-Standard also reported that Zach Tomaselli was invited by Fine to a party at his home after the Syracuse-Pitt game on Feb. 1, 2003 – a game where Zach Tomaselli said Fine arranged seats for him and his father several rows behind the bench.

Tomaselli told the newspaper his father, who was unable to attend the party, allowed him to go to Fine’s house and stay the night.

While there, Tomaselli told the AP, Fine asked him to get into bed and that Fine’s wife, Laurie, was there when it happened.

“I told them (police) that Laurie was standing right there when Bernie asked me to sleep in a bed. Laurie knew all about it,” he said during the phone interview.

On Sunday, ESPN played an audiotape, obtained and recorded by Davis, of an October 2002 telephone conversation between him and Laurie Fine.

Davis told ESPN he made the recording, which also has been given to Syracuse police, without her knowledge because he knew he needed proof for the police to believe his accusations. ESPN said it hired a voice recognition expert to verify the voice on the tape and the network said it was determined to be that of Laurie Fine.

Davis also acknowledged in an interview with ESPN that he and Laurie Fine had a sexual relationship when he was 18, and that he eventually told Bernie Fine about it.

“I thought he was going to kill me, but I had to tell him,” Davis said. “It didn’t faze him one bit.”

During the call to the woman, Davis repeatedly asks her what she knew about the alleged molestation.

“Do you think I’m the only one that he’s ever done that to?” Davis asked.

“No … I think there might have been others but it was geared to … there was something about you,” the woman on the tape said.

On the tape, she also says she knew “everything that went on.”

“Bernie has issues, maybe that he’s not aware of, but he has issues. … And you trusted somebody you shouldn’t have trusted … ”

During the call, Davis tells her he asked her husband in the late 1990s for $5,000 to help pay off his student loans.

“When he gave you the money, what does he want for that?” she asked.

He tells her that Fine wanted to engage in sexual activity in several ways.

“… And I’d try to go away, and he’d put his arm on top of my chest. He goes, `If you want this money, you’ll stay right here,’” Davis said.

“Right. Right,” she said. “He just has a nasty attitude, because he didn’t get his money, nor did he get what he wanted.”

On Friday, federal authorities carried out a search at his Fine’s suburban Syracuse home but declined to comment on what they were looking for.

New York State Police spokesman Jack Keller said troopers were called to assist the U.S. attorney’s office at the search. At least six police vehicles were parked on the street during the search, which lasted around nine hours. Officers carted away three file cabinets and a computer for further examination.

5. Robert Parish Vs. Bill Laimbeer.

Bill Laimbeer was the Detroit Pistons ultimate agitiator, angering and frustrating his opponents. Laimbeer would anger the wrong man when he fouled Boston Celtics center, Robert Parish, who proceeded to give him two tomahawk chops to the head.

Shaquille O’Neal will join Charles Barkley as a host on TNT’s “Inside The NBA” as soon as the season starts. But when Barkley was playing with the Rockets, he got into a big fight with Shaq that included ball throwing and tackling.

After Alonzo mourning began brawling with Larry Johnson, both teams joined in and it ended up with Knicks coach, Jeff Van Gundy, grabbing Alonzo’s leg and being dragged around.

The ninth-grader, Keshawn Perkins, 15, pummeled his grandmother with a lamp and stabbed her in the neck, head, and body with a kitchen knife. He then wrapped her body in a blanket and dumped it in a sewer trap behind her house, before taking off with her purse.

A neighbor spotted the gore-spattered teen dragging something through his backyard and then fleeing, the Tribune said. Perkins was arrested a short time later.

Prosecutors said that Perkins admitted to the savage attack, saying his grandmother had yelled at him for skipping school and he beat her with the lamp “until she shut up,” the Tribune reported.

PHILADELPHIA — Joe Frazier had to throw his greatest punch to knock down “The Greatest.”

A vicious left hook from Frazier put Muhammad Ali on the canvas in the 15th round in March 1971 when he became the first man to beat him in the Fight of the Century at Madison Square Garden.

“That was the greatest thing that ever happened in my life,” Frazier said.

It was his biggest night, one that would never come again.

The relentless, undersized heavyweight ruled the division as champion, then spent a lifetime trying to fight his way out of Ali’s shadow.

Frazier, who died Monday night after a brief battle with liver cancer at the age of 67, will forever be associated with Ali. No one in boxing would ever dream of anointing Ali as The Greatest unless he, too, was linked to Smokin’ Joe.

“I will always remember Joe with respect and admiration,” Ali said in a statement. “My sympathy goes out to his family and loved ones.”

They fought three times, twice in the heart of New York City and once in the morning in a steamy arena in the Thrilla in Manila in the Philippines. They went 41 rounds together. Neither gave an inch and both gave it their all.

In their last fight in Manila in 1975, they traded punches with a fervor that seemed unimaginable among heavyweights. Frazier gave almost as good as he got for 14 rounds, then had to be held back by trainer Eddie Futch as he tried to go out for the final round, unable to see.

“Closest thing to dying that I know of,” Ali said afterward.

Ali was as merciless with Frazier out of the ring as he was inside it. He called him a gorilla, and mocked him as an Uncle Tom. But he respected him as a fighter, especially after Frazier won a decision to defend his heavyweight title against the then-unbeaten Ali in a fight that was so big Frank Sinatra was shooting pictures at ringside and both fighters earned an astonishing $2.5 million.

The night at the Garden 40 years ago remained fresh in Frazier’s mind as he talked about his life, career and relationship with Ali a few months before he died.

“I can’t go nowhere where it’s not mentioned,” he told The Associated Press.

Bob Arum, who once promoted Ali, said he was saddened by Frazier’s passing.

“He was such an inspirational guy. A decent guy. A man of his word,” Arum said. “I’m torn up by Joe dying at this relatively young age. I can’t say enough about Joe.”

Frazier’s death was announced in a statement by his family, who asked to be able to grieve privately and said they would announce “our father’s homecoming celebration” as soon as possible.

Manny Pacquiao learned of it shortly after he arrived in Las Vegas for his fight Saturday night with Juan Manuel Marquez. Like Frazier in his prime, Pacquiao has a powerful left hook that he has used in his remarkable run to stardom.

“Boxing lost a great champion, and the sport lost a great ambassador,” Pacquiao said.

Don King, who promoted the Thrilla in Manila, was described by a spokesman as too upset to talk about Frazier’s death.

Though slowed in his later years and his speech slurred by the toll of punches taken in the ring, Frazier was still active on the autograph circuit in the months before he died. In September he went to Las Vegas, where he signed autographs in the lobby of the MGM Grand shortly before Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s fight against Victor Ortiz.

An old friend, Gene Kilroy, visited with him and watched Frazier work the crowd.

“He was so nice to everybody,” Kilroy said. “He would say to each of them, `Joe Frazier, sharp as a razor, what’s your name?’”

Frazier was small for a heavyweight, weighing just 205 pounds when he won the title by stopping Jimmy Ellis in the fifth round of their 1970 fight at Madison Square Garden. But he fought every minute of every round going forward behind a vicious left hook, and there were few fighters who could withstand his constant pressure.

His reign as heavyweight champion lasted only four fights – including the win over Ali – before he ran into an even more fearsome slugger than himself. George Foreman responded to Frazier’s constant attack by dropping him three times in the first round and three more in the second before their 1973 fight in Jamaica was waved to a close and the world had a new heavyweight champion.

Two fights later, he met Ali in a rematch of their first fight, only this time the outcome was different. Ali won a 12-round decision, and later that year stopped George Foreman in the Rumble in the Jungle in Zaire.

There had to be a third fight, though, and what a fight it was. With Ali’s heavyweight title at stake, the two met in Manila in a fight that will long be seared in boxing history.

Frazier went after Ali round after round, landing his left hook with regularity as he made Ali backpedal around the ring. But Ali responded with left jabs and right hands that found their mark again and again. Even the intense heat inside the arena couldn’t stop the two as they fought every minute of every round with neither willing to concede the other one second of the round.

“They told me Joe Frazier was through,” Ali told Frazier at one point during the fight.

“They lied,” Frazier said, before hitting Ali with a left hook.

Finally, though, Frazier simply couldn’t see and Futch would not let him go out for the 15th round. Ali won the fight while on his stool, exhausted and contemplating himself whether to go on.

“It was unworldly what we had just seen,” Arum said. “Two men fighting one of the great wars of all time. It’s something I will never forget for all the years I have left.”

It was one of the greatest fights ever, but it took a toll. Frazier would fight only two more times, getting knocked out in a rematch with Foreman eight months later before coming back in 1981 for an ill advised fight with Jumbo Cummings.

“They should have both retired after the Manila fight,” former AP boxing writer Ed Schuyler Jr. said. “They left every bit of talent they had in the ring that day.”

Born in Beaufort, S.C., on Jan 12, 1944, Frazier took up boxing early after watching weekly fights on the black and white television on his family’s small farm. He was a top amateur for several years, and became the only American fighter to win a gold medal in the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo despite fighting in the final bout with an injured left thumb.

“Joe Frazier should be remembered as one of the greatest fighters of all time and a real man,” Arum told the AP in a telephone interview Monday night. “He’s a guy that stood up for himself. He didn’t compromise and always gave 100 percent in the ring. There was never a fight in the ring where Joe didn’t give 100 percent.”

After turning pro in 1965, Frazier quickly became known for his punching power, stopping his first 11 opponents. Within three years he was fighting world-class opposition and, in 1970, beat Ellis to win the heavyweight title that he would hold for more than two years.

A woman who answered Ellis’ phone in Kentucky said the former champion suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease, but she wanted to pass along the family’s condolences.

In Philadelphia, a fellow Philadelphia fighter, longtime middleweight champion Bernard Hopkins, said Frazier was so big in the city that he should have his own statue, like the fictional Rocky character.

“I saw him at one of my car washes a few weeks ago. He was in a car, just hollering at us, ‘They’re trying to get me!’ That was his hi,” Hopkins said. “I’m glad I got to see him in the last couple of months. At the end of the day, I respect the man. I believe at the end of his life, he was fighting to get that respect.”

He was a fixture in Philadelphia where he trained fighters in a gym he owned and made a cameo in “Rocky.”

It was his fights with Ali that would define Frazier. Though Ali was gracious in defeat in the first fight, he was as vicious with his words as he was with his punches in promoting all three fights – and he never missed a chance to get a jab in at Frazier.

Frazier, who in his later years would have financial trouble and end up running a gym in his adopted hometown of Philadelphia, took the jabs personally. He felt Ali made fun of him by calling him names and said things that were not true just to get under his skin. Those feelings were only magnified as Ali went from being an icon in the ring to one of the most beloved people in the world.

After a trembling Ali lit the Olympic torch in 1996 in Atlanta, Frazier was asked by a reporter what he thought about it.

“They should have thrown him in,” Frazier responded.

He mellowed, though, in recent years, preferring to remember the good from his fights with Ali rather than the bad. Just before the 40th anniversary of his win over Ali earlier this year – a day Frazier celebrated with parties in New York – he said he no longer felt any bitterness toward Ali, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease and is mostly mute.

“I forgive him,” Frazier. “He’s in a bad way.”

One of the greatest players in NBA history (wiki) is also an athlete who the public doesn’t know much about.

Who are we talking about?

Quite possibly the second best shooting-guard of all-time after Michael Jordan, the Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant.

Bryant, who is on a quest to win his sixth championship ring and tie his idol Michael Jordan, is currently being pursued by an Italian basketball team to play for them if the NBA season is locked out.

But Bryant’s focus remains on making sure that those who say he’s lost a step, regret it.

Below is a list of the top 10 facts from Kobe Bryant’s wiki that we never knew:

1. Kobe “Beef”

Right before his birth, Kobe Bryant’s parents were at a Philadelphia restaurant named after the high quality beef steak, Kobe, and they decided that would be the name of their son.

2. Only Child?

Some sportswriters and fans thought and still believe that Kobe is a selfish, spoiled brat. It would make you believe that Kobe was showered with affection and was an only child. Wrong? Kobe actually has two sisters — Sharia and Shaya, who are both older than him.

3. 1-on-1 Against His Shadow?

Kobe develops new moves in the off-season by playing against his shadow.

4. Pele, Messi, Ronaldo, Maradona, Kobe???

Had the Bryants remained in Europe, Kobe says he would have gone into pro soccer. He rooted for AC Milan while licing in Italy.

5. Just Like Any Kid

Kobe’s favorite video as a kid was “NBA Showmen,” which highlighted some of basketball’s all-time greats.

6. Celebrity Prom Date

Kobe took R&B star Brandy to his senior prom. He later played the role of a basketball star on her show, “Moesha.”

7. The Godfather!
