Teens Suspected of Breaking Into Over 45 Cars

Four people are facing charges in connection to breaking into over 45 cars in Chevy Chase this month alone. Two of those suspects are 17-year-olds from Silver Spring. The other two were 19 and 20-years-old.

According to sources, most of the thefts happened in overnight hours, south of River Road between Goldsboro Road and Little Falls Parkway. Many of the cars were unlocked and two of the cars, which had the keys inside, were actually stolen.

In light of the recent break-ins, it is wise not to be negligent when securing your vehicle. Make sure you roll up your windows, keep purses and valuables out of plain view and always lock your doors.
