What: The Office on Women’s Health leads National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day as a day to “Share Knowledge, Take Action.” By doing the following things, we can help educate others, change behaviors, and help shape the future for women and girls:
· Telling women and girls how to prevent HIV/AIDS
· Getting more of them to get tested
· Providing services to those living with the disease
Where: Testing and awareness events (happy hours, women’s groups, open clinics) will happen in communities all across the nation. There are a handful of events open to the public this coming weekend in DC, MD, and VA.
