VIA ROLLING OUT:

Tiger Woods’ caddie for the past decade, Steve Williams, angrily refuted on New Zealand’s “60 Minutes” that he had any inkling that Woods was a serial marital cheater. Furthermore, Williams says had he known that Woods was such a prolific panty pursuer, he would have blown the whistle on his boss before any of the tabloids would have.

Speaking extensively for the first time since Woods’ slow-rolling crash into his neighbor’s tree that set off a mind-blowing succession of extramarital revelations, the New Zealand-born and bred Williams is still irate that people believe that he aided and abetted Woods’ scandalous romp through diners and cocktail clubs.

And he added that doesn’t owe anyone an explanation.

“I knew nothing, that’s my answer. I don’t have to clarify or extend that answer, I knew nothing,” Williams barked.

If anything, Williams claims, he would have exposed Woods’ if he’d known the golfer’s hormones were raging like a five-alarm fire.

Since he is part of Woods’ inner sanctum, Williams has been dirtied as Woods has been drug through the mud. It has “been the most difficult time of my life, no two ways about it,” Williams told the television station, “because every single person believed that I should know or did know or had something to do with it.”

Displaying some of the vestige of anger at his world-famous boss, Williams said, “Of course I’m mad at him, why would you not be? I’m close with his wife and he’s got two lovely children.”

Despite his disappointment in his boss, Williams said he will not abandon Woods in his desperate time of need. “”When you’re a true friend of somebody, that’s when somebody needs your support and needs you the most. That’s when you don’t walk away. Tiger’s one of my closest friends and he needs my support right now and I’d never think of walking away,” he said.
