WASHINGTON – Metro riders can expect minor delays on the Green and Yellow lines after a woman was struck by a train Wednesday afternoon.
Metro says a woman was struck by a Green Line train shortly after 1 p.m. at the Mount Vernon Square/7th Street Convention Center station.
Regular service has resumed on the Yellow and Green lines, but Metro says residual delays are expected.
The lines had been single-tracking through the Mount Vernon Square/7th Street Convention Center station while Metro Police investigated.
The woman has been taken to a nearby hospital.
The Mount Vernon Square/7th Street Convention Center station was closed for about an hour. It reopened around 2:25 p.m.
