WALLER COUNTY, TX (News 92 FM)- The pilot of a small plane was taken by Life Flight from Sport Flyers Estates to an area hospital.

The crash happened late Monday morning at the landing strip located near Brookshire at FM 362 and Windsock.
One man who helped in the rescue effort says the pilot had a broken leg. “He’ll be alright but he has a significant injury.” The pilot was able to talk with rescue workers as they removed him from the plane.
The accident happened during take off. Not many people saw it but many people heard the loud bang when the plane crashed into the hanger. There were no other injuries.
The pilot is believed to be in his seventies.
The F.A.A. is heading to the scene to investigate the cause.
