(HOUSTON)— The Bay Area Blvd., on I-45 South, was closed Tuesday as Houston police investigate an officer-involved shooting. The suspect in that shooting has been killed, police said.
Officers shot a man at a store near Baybrook Mall in the 19200 block of the Gulf Freeway near West Bay Area Boulevard in southeast Houston.
One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting at Vision Works right next to the Denny’s on Bay Area Blvd. The Bay Area Blvd. exit is closed off, and people here are frightened by what they saw.
“I saw a suspect body on the ground, bleeding on the left side with a uniformed cop bending over him,” one witness said.
Another said, “It used to be so safe around here, and now we’re so scared.”
We expect to hear more from Houston Police Department. When we do, we’ll pass it along. Stay tuned to NEWS 92 FM for more on this developing story.
