Nine-year-old Sinai Miller (pictured) is very lucky to be alive, after being shot in the leg while selling Girl Scout cookies on her north side Indianapolis neighborhood, according to Fox 59.

Sinai and her two younger sisters were excited to sell the famed treats in their family-friendly neighborhood and had just stepped outside of their residence when suddenly there was a barrage of bullets.  According to witnesses, a Ford Expedition SUV was seen in front of Sinai’s townhouse with a hand extended out of the vehicle’s window, and bullets were fired in the little girls’ direction.

One bullet struck Sinai’s left leg, and another hit the door of her home.

According to Mark Chandler, the boyfriend of Sinai’s mother who spoke to Fox 59, when he happened upon Sinai the scene was terrifying. “I came downstairs and she was sitting over there and that’s her little boot and the blood,” he said Chandler added, “It’s just ridiculous. She’s 9-years-old, man. She’s very smart. She don’t know nothing about no gun, or no shots, or whatever.”

Sinai was rushed to an area hospital and according to Chandler, she was treated, released and is resting at home.

Police are searching for the suspects involved in the shooting and for the vehicle, but so far, they have no motive.
