Location Last Seen: At 1 a.m.  at a residence in Albemarle which he shared with a stepbrother.

Circumstances of Disappearance: Days after he went missing Kendall’s 1994 Lexus was found abandoned near the James B. Garrison Bridge on N.C. Highway 24-27.

The vehicle was parked and locked about 300 yards away from the Pee Dee River. There was no sign of Kendall, a high school senior.

Cadaver dogs and SCUBA equipment have been used to search the area but no new clues were unearthed.

“We’ve done a lot of interviews with family, some of his acquaintances, some of the folks he was closest to,” Capt. Brian Hatley told the Stanly News & Press. “Since that time we have reached out to some outside agencies. We did reach out to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.”

Kendall’s grandmother told WSOCTV.com that her grandson was autistic.

“It’s really been rough,” Undrey Bost told the station. “This is a child; even if he is 18, he is still a kid.”

Bost believes that her grandson may have been going to see his girlfriend. It’s also possible that the young couple got into an argument, according to family members.

“We don’t know what’s going on,” said Bost.

Identifying Marks or Characteristics: Unknown. Kendall sometimes stays with his mother who lives in Norwood, N.C.
