A South Carolina Police Officer shot and killed 19-year-old Zachary Hammond after Hammond tried to flea an arrest during a Marijuana deal gone awry. The officer tried to pull the teen over at fast food restaurant parking lot, when Hammond panicked and tried to drive away. Seneca Police Lt. Mark Tiller then fatally shot the boy, claiming he feared for his life as the boy fled. Lt. Mark Tiller will not face any charges for the death of Zachary Hammond, leaving his family devastated. According to attn.com, an attorney for the Hammond family said, “The dash cam video clearly shows that the officer was not in danger, that the teen posed no risk of running Tiller over with his vehicle.” The family will file federal charges for civil rights violations.
