It was a terrifying scene at John F. Kennedy Airport in Queens, New York, Sunday night, as reports scrambled in of a possible active shooter in two of the terminals.

Cops orchestrated a mass evacuation after witnesses claimed shots were fired in Terminal 8 and Terminal 1, according to CNN.

Video captures passengers as they ran for safety, fearing for their lives.

Law enforcement secured the area after their search yielded no suspect and no evidence of gunshots. Officials were unable to confirm the validity of the reports.

Public spaces have been the target of numerous terrorist attacks in the last couple of months, including the most recent Bastille Day tragedy in France, where 88 citizens were run over by a truck.

Luckily, no one was injured in the chaos. No arrests have been made.
