Justin Cornwell co-stars as Detective Kyle Craig opposite Bill Paxson in Training Day, airing Thursday nights on CBS.

He talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about how different the series is from the hit moving that starred Ethan Hawke and Denzel Washington.

“He’s a little different than Ethan Hawke and he’s investigating the Denzel’s character. As the season progresses our chemistry gets better. That movie was iconic for me. We don’t want to touch the movie. For us, we want to write a love letter to the fans of the movie.” Cornwell said. “We have some people from the movie coming back.”
