Jimmie Walker was the breakout star of the 1970s series “Good Times” for his character James “J.J.” Evans. However, you may not know he has been a longtime conservative— and a Trump supporter.

In an interview with Fox News, Walker said about Trump, “I take him on a case-by-case basis. And I think… a lot of people thought Hillary [Clinton] was going to win and they just haven’t gotten over it. Trump is correct, there is fake news out there. CNN and MSNBC have said Trump can’t win. But people in America love Trump. It’s just the big cities that hate him. They’re the ones that haven’t gotten over it.”

He also said, “What they should be doing, the Democrats, is saying, ‘You know, we hated that we lost this. So we need to get a candidate right now and get ready for 2020.’ You didn’t make it, it’s over. Let it go.”

Clearly, Walker is not paying attention to Democrats like Stacey Abrams in Georgia, Wesley Bell in Missouri, or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in New York City.

Furthermore, Walker is missing a key point when he says “people in America love Trump” and “it’s just the big cities that hate him.” No, it’s white people in America that aren’t in big cities who love Trump.

But these comments shouldn’t shock anyone. Walker is against same-sex marriage, he attacked Obama and he was reportedly dating Ann Coulter.

Sad times!
