New details in the death of a Baltimore City police officer.

According to Fox Baltimore, Officer Joseph Banks Jr. was suspended at the time of his death.

Banks was assigned to Juvenile Booking and had been with the Department for six years. His father is also on the force.

Baltimore Police Officer was found unconscious in a motel in the 4400 block of Washington Blvd in Halethorpe.

Police are confirming the death of 25-year-old, Joseph Banks Jr. an officer who was a six years vet with the force.
