Prisoner Van Carrying Inmates Involved In Crash

A transport van carrying 12 inmates crashed Thursday after 5 p.m. in Anne Arundel County.

The van was operated by a federal contractor and was the only vehicle involved on Timberlake Farm Road and W. Central Avenue in Davidsonville, according to Anne Arundel County Fire Officials.

Nine of the inmates sustained minor injuries and taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center for evaluation.

No word on what caused the crash.
