Baltimore native Andre De Shields has won his first Tony at age 73.
DeShields, who attended Baltimore City College, won a Tony for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Mister Hermes in Hadestown.

“Hadestown” won several other Tony Awards last night, including for best musical, best sound design in a musical and best director for Rachel Chavkin.
