Have you ever been at a point in your life where you’re working so hard and diligently at your job expecting advancement of some kind but instead you see other people around you, maybe not even as qualified as you, getting promoted or advancing? Have you ever been in that position? Let’s be real. We ALL have experienced that feeling. We get disappointed when God doesn’t move when WE THINK He should move. But as we continue to live & grow, in His grace, He allows us to see that he moves us into our next level at just the right time. He waits until we are READY and PREPARED for what he has in store so that we don’t look foolish and embarrass ourselves.

Let me encourage those who are dealing with disappointment right now. Here are my 3 points and a close:

  1. Remember that God has a purpose and a plan in everything he does and everything he allows to happen (Jeremiah 29:11 and Romans 8:28).
  2. Don’t be anxious about anything. Rest in the peace of God (Philippians 4:6-7).
  3. Do what you do as unto the Lord. If someone does you wrong, God will deal with them (Colossians 3:23-25).

In closing, Matthew 6:33 reminds us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Be encouraged! God sees you and He hears you. Nothing goes unnoticed by our Loving, Heavenly Father. He will promote you to your “Next” at just the right time and you’ll be fully prepared to handle what’s required of you.
