The age to buy tobacco has change. Now you have to be 21-years-old to buy cigarettes, cigars, and vaping products in Maryland.
The law applies to all residents except active-duty military members.
There are also changes for those on the road.
Drivers who fail to stop for pedestrians will now face a maximum fine of $1,000, which is up from $500.
The fines will contribute to a fund used for traffic enforcement and education.
