The Maryland State Education Association is focused on a number of issues and initiatives as we enter the new school year. Clara Floyd is President of the Maryland State Teachers Association, an affiliate of the National Association with 70,000 members. Flolyd is the first African American woman elected as MSTA president. She began serving her three-year term on August 1, 2006. Ms. Floyd will appear on the Bernie McCain show this afternoon at 5 pm.
