Hornets legend turned color analyst for the Hornets on Bally Sports Southeast Dell Curry joined Kyle Bailey on Friday’s edition of the Clubhouse as he looks at the biggest factors behind the Hornets recent success and the massive improvement on the defensive end.

The first topic broached with Dell was the Hornets heading into their matchup with the Magic being on a 4 game winning streak as he said any win streak is good, but this one means more especially for a younger team like the Hornets because of who they beat in the Bucks on 2 separate occasions and finally ending their 5 year losing streak to the 76ers and the way they won those games were especially satisfying with multiple players making key plays in key situations.

One of the other stories that has transpired throughout the winning streak has been the improvement on defense and when asked what has been behind the improved play on defense Dell told Kyle:

“I think the effort and commitment of saying if we want to win and move up in the eastern conference we’ve got to defend better, and they are realizing they can play defense while still scoring the ball.”

When it came to the play of LaMelo Ball Dell thinks that the game is slowing down for him this year and Dell said another impressive thing that LaMelo been able to do is overcome a bad half during a game and come out with a strong performance.
