Gunfire erupted at a Greenbelt apartment complex Thursday night. Three people were injured including an off-duty police officer.
(Greenbelt, MD) — Three people are being treated for non-life threatening injuries following a shooting in Greenbelt Thursday night. It happened around 7 p.m. at the Gates of Cipriano apartments in the 85-hundred block of Greenbelt Road. Police say an off-duty officer in plain clothes and a man exchanged gunfire. It’s unclear what led to the shooting. Both were shot multiple times, but are expected to recover. Meanwhile a teenage girl was also reportedly grazed by a bullet. She is also expected to be okay.
