Metro doesn’t want passengers to record videos or take photos of bus or train operators doing something wrong. They suggest filing a complaint instead.

(Washington, DC) — The union representing Metro’s bus and train operators has a request for passengers. If you see an operator doing something wrong, don’t snap a photo or shoot a video, but rather file a complaint. WJLA-TV reports some operators have complained to their union that in addition to the stress caused by last month’s fatal Red Line accident, they’re dealing with additional stress thanks to recent incidents where operators have been recorded by passengers. In recent weeks, a passenger shot a video of a train operator texting, while another video was shot of an operator falling asleep. Metro officials say they have no problem with passengers recording or snapping photos if it means pointing out a safety issue.
