Death Of Swimsuit Designer In Soho House Ruled Homicide

The death of a Northern Virginia swimsuit designer in New York’s swanky Soho House has been ruled a homicide.  The city Medical Examiner found that Sylvie Cachay had been strangled and drowned before she was found dead inside a hotel bathtub on December 9th.  Cachay’s former boyfriend, Nick Brooks, had initially been charged with attempted murder but will now likely face a murder charge.  Friends and family members of Cachay say she had recently dumped Brooks, but had brought him to the Soho House for undisclosed reasons.  Brooks is currently behind bars and is due back in court on January 4th
