(College Park, GA)   —  First Lady Michelle Obama lights a fire under the future of America.  In Michelle Obama’s commencement speech for Spelman College in Georgia, she told the nine thousand people attending Sunday to “do big things” and added “now it’s your turn to repay the favor.”  The First Lady reminded the graduates to not walk out graduation with a feeling of entitlement but to walk out knowing what they have inherited with their college degrees.  She said they now have a certain set of obligations that do not end with graduation.

She told the graduating class at one of the country’s two historically black women’s colleges “it is vitally important that you all rise to the highest ranks of every industry and every profession.”  The First Lady urged the graduates to “reach down and pull others up” behind them as they ascend their career ladders.
