Wendy is currently President and the Director of Business Affairs for the Minimally Invasive Vascular Centers where, along with her Business Partner, she has worked to develop a scalable, progressive new business model for vascular outpatient surgical centers and micro hospitals. The facilities are located in the metropolitan area of the District of Columbia. The team has plans to expand to major markets throughout the U.S. and abroad. Their state of the art facilities have revolutionized the delivery of sub-surgical specialty vascular services to the community. She has also helped to develop new hospital and surgery center business models.
In addition, she is a Franchisee Partner that owns and operates Massage Envy Downtown Silver Spring. Wendy is also creator and developer of the Mind of an Entrepreneur™ brand that currently produces a radio show, authors and publishes books on mental strategies for navigating the world of business. The Mind of an Entrepreneur™ brand also focuses on helping members of marginalized communities open the pathways to wealth and abundance through owning and operating businesses and introducing much-needed goods and services into their communities. She is also expanding her Business Consulting practice to include Hospital Investments, Turnaround Consulting and Healthcare Acquisitions. One of her new exciting ventures includes Executive Production of the award-winning Chicago based web series entitled, I Used to Love Her. Wendy began her career with Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC). She also is Owner and Chief Executive Officer of a Business Consulting firm called The John Edward Group. As a Business Consultant, Executive Project Manager and Business Thought Leader, she has trained thousands of entrepreneurs and emerging leaders and managed over $350 million in Projects. She has served as Crisis Manager for many Corporations, Executives and Celebrities.
Her list of clients have included, but are not limited to, the Department of Treasury, Office of Financial Stability (Obama Administration TARP Fund), Berkshire Hathaway, CNA Insurance, AIG Insurance, Citizens Water Resources, The City of Chicago, Cook County Hospital, Atlantic Records and numerous National Celebrities and Corporate Executives.
Wendy is an Effective Leader with exemplary management, organizational and strategic thinking skills and a proven record of accomplishments in initiating and managing change, project management, process improvements, thought leadership, contract negotiations, financial reporting, auditing and internal control analysis and review. Wendy holds a dual degree, BBA in Finance and Accounting from Iowa State University and numerous business certifications and accomplishments in the areas of Finance, Accounting and Business. She is also a Certified Emotional Intelligence Coach and Trainer and serves as Co-Chair of the DC Chapter of the Save a Limb, Save a Life Foundation (SAL SAL) and is a member of National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), National Association of Certified Healthcare Business Consultants (NSCHBC), National Association of Healthcare Advocacy Consultants (NAHAC), Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), the Medical Tourism Association (MTA) and numerous area Chambers of Commerce where she does business.
