Hundreds of Men and Women Join Fight Against Domestic and Sexual Violence Sisters4Sisters, Inc. 6th Annual Silent Tears No More Prayer Breakfast Fundraiser Unites Community.

Lanham, MD – On October 29 2011, Sisters4Sisters, Inc. will hold its’ 6th Annual Silent Tears No More Breakfast Fundraiser. This gathering empowers and educates the community on Domestic and Sexual Violence resources and services while providing awareness and prevention tools for the community. Area survivors and families of those who have been murdered will share their stories in hopes of saving the lives of others.

“Across the country federal and state domestic violence programs are drastically being cut. All the while stories of domestic and sexual violence continue to flood our newspapers and televisions,” said Carolyn Washington, CEO, Sisters4Sisters, Inc. “This devastation will continue to impact women, children and families unless we address these issues now especially in this time of economic challenges in families!”

Silent Tears No More is co- sponsored by The Alliance of Concerned Men, bringing the voice of men into the conversation along with proud sponsors including Southern Management Corporation , WHUR, Hopeline from Verizon and Christian World Links. Silent Tears will benefit survivors of sexual and domestic violence as well as building The House of LOVE, a safe haven which will support women and families escaping abuse. The LOVE Cares Award will be presented to Judge Cathy Serrette for her contribution towards bringing justice to victims of domestic and sexual violence.
