(Washington, DC) — Repair work is set to begin this week at the site of the fatal June 22nd Metrorail wreck on the Red Line. This, after the National Transportation Safety Board finished up its on-site testing of the tracks between the Fort Totten and Takoma stations. The work will involve replacing track circuitry in the area, including thousands of feet of cable, and track and circuit-related hardware. The work is expected to take about a month. Commuters can expect continued delays on the Red Line during this period.
