(Washington, DC) — A Metro train operator is on unpaid leave and taking part in a drug rehabilitation program after he delivered a ten-car train from a rail yard to the Greenbelt station. The “Washington Post” reports that operator tested positive for drugs after the incident last month. Metro officials say active passenger trains are not supposed to be longer than eight cars, that’s the most station platforms can accommodate. The operator is one of four people under investigation in the July 31st incident, but he’s the only one that tested positive for drugs.
