Roots
Don’t forget to watch the remake of the groundbreaking series Roots, airing over four consecutive nights at 9 p.m. EST beginning Monday, May 30 on the History Channel. This may be one of the biggest television events this weekend. The list of celebrities starring in the series reads like a who’s who in Hollywood: Laurence Fishburne, Forest Whitaker, Anna Paquin, T.I., and Anika Noni Rose, just to name a few.
Stay Woke
With police shooting deaths in the national spotlight, BET documentary Stay Woke shows the #BlackLivesMatter movement’s impact on millennials and modern-day activism; 34-year-old actor and activist Jesse Williams is one of the series’ notable producers. If you missed the premiere on Thursday, you can watch it online here.
Empire
Step into the Lyons den and catch up on the music dynasty family’s crazy drama! TV One will air Empire starting Sunday at 12 p.m. EST until Monday at 7 a.m. EST. #EmpireOnTVONE #workfun
Coach Snoop
This AOL original series shows the rap icon in a totally different light. See Snoop Dogg fall into what he calls his “true calling“: coaching a California youth football team. You can catch up on episode 2 here.
Fatal Attraction
