WOL Sports Desk will take a look at mock drafts until the real NFL draft takes place April 26th-28th in Dallas and give you a peek at players some of the expert analysis believe may join the Burgandy and Gold for the 2018-19 season.

Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

Minkah Fitzpatrick is the next in line of great Alabama defensive players to enter the NFL Draft. Weighing in at 204 lbs and standing 6’0, he has good size to compete against NFL wide receivers and tight ends. Known for laying big hits on receivers and running backs throughout his collegiate career, this safety has made a name for himself as a ferocious competitor. Minkah has shown great playmaking ability recording 9 interceptions and taking 4 of them to the house for touchdowns while playing at Alabama.

Washington has been looking for an answer at the Safety position since the passing of the late great Sean Taylor. The Sua’ Cravens experiment was a failure, so taking Fitzpatrick would be a good choice to add some young talent to the backfield. His versatility as a coverage linebacker and overall mean streak would be a great addition to the Burgundy and Gold.
