This Friday is New Year’s Eve and that means parties. Local programs are aimed at keeping drunks off the road. Ragina Averella with Triple-A Mid Atlantic says Triple-A is sponsoring the Tipsy Taxi program with yellow cabs. There is also the Miller Lite free rides option. MTA buses, light rail and subway rides are free New Year’s Eve. Last year Maryland State Police made 201 DUI arrests. Elena Russo with the Maryland State Police says they’ll be on the roads too.
