You can now call him Mayor Vincent Gray.  Wearing a dark suit and red tie, Gray took the oath of office Sunday at high noon and became Washington’s sixth elected mayor.  Gray said, quote, “As a lifelong resident of our city, I’ve seen the people of the District celebrating good times, and show unshakable resilience when times were tough.”  He added Washingtonians should not rest until the District becomes the nation’s 51st state.  Washington’s Archbishop, Cardinal Donald Wuerl, gave the invocation at the ceremony, which also included the swearings-in of seven council members.
