Officers And Victim In Deadly PG Police-Involved Shooting Identified

Prince George’s County Police are releasing the names of the officers and the victim involved in Monday afternoon’s deadly police-involved shooting in Landover.  They say ten-year veteran Corporal Herbert Aiken, six-year veteran Corporal Dwayne Smith and one-year veteran Officer Timothy Hancock fired at 19-year-old Trayvon Dodson of District Heights, killing the suspect.  Dodson was said to have brandished a handgun toward the officers in the 18-hundred block of Ray Leonard Road.  The three officers have been placed on routine administrative leave.
