(Washington, DC)  —  It could be a nightmare commute home as tens of thousands head out of town for the Memorial Day weekend.  Triple-A Mid-Atlantic spokesman John Townsend says nearly 800-thousand Washingtonians are planning a road trip.  He says it would be a lot worse if gas prices were lower.  Townsend says try to leave early, but expect crowds all afternoon.  Many people are opting to fly, so also expect a crowd at the airport.
