After years of being accused of filling its tacos with a fake meat mixture, the fast food restaurant chain Taco Bell is reinventing its staple with shells made of nacho cheese-flavored Doritos.

BBQ Hot Spot Has Cult-Like Following

The tacos, which debuted earlier this year in California’s San Joaquin Valley, are now making their way across the country as parent compnay Yum Brands looks to separate Taco Bell from its competitors.

The fillings on the Dorito-clad tacos are said to be spiced more mildly than those in traditional tacos, to help compensate for the extra flavor in the shell.
