(Washington, DC) — Metro says it won’t tolerate bus and train operators behaving badly. Metro’s Angela Gates says the agency is reviewing disciplinary procedures after some high profile incidents involving operators texting, reading and napping on the job. Leaders are working to develop new, stricter policies. Metro has already implemented a zero tolerance policy on texting. Gates says the new disciplinary procedures will cover other distracting behaviors as well. The new policies are expected in coming weeks.
