According to Johns Hopkins University, more than 675,000 people in the United States have died from Covid-19, killing more Americans than the 1918 flu pandemic did. 

The policy affects about 170,000 students across the system’s 15 institutions including tens of thousands of faculty and staff.

While this isn’t the first attempt to reframe the attack on the capitol as something other than insurrection, disregarding the low turnout event could be a mistake.
