TV One's "Unsung" series returns on Sunday, March 6th with a look at the captivating R&B group Soul For Real, who made a mark for themselves on Uptown Records with the backing of Heavy D. and Andre Harrell. The episode looks back on their ascent to fame, and how they've navigated life and are creating new music as a group after their hiatus.

Hosted by Grammy-nominated Juan Winans, the celebration will feature performances by Tamela Mann, Madelyn Howze, JJ Hairston and The Morehouse Glee Club.  

Kenneth Gamble and Leon A. Huff helped shape the sound of soul in the '70s with their work as a songwriting duo, who also had their own label, Philadelphia International Records. Their relevance continues today, thanks in part to their music constantly being sampled by everyone from Meg Thee Stallion to Drake.
