The Cook County State's Attorney's office said Friday that no criminal charges will come against Chicago, Illinois police officer Robert Rialmo, who fatally shot 19-year-old Quintonio LeGrier and mistakenly Bettie Jones, who was a grandmother standing by LeGrier during a fatal incident in 2015.

Many are outraged that an officer under investigation for fatal shootings was returned to street duty. Officials claim it was a mistake.

Arguing that Quintonio LeGrier, 19, was unarmed when Chicago police shot and killed him over the weekend, his father on Monday filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against the city, reports DNAinfo Chicago.

Two individuals, identified as a 19-year-old college student and a 55-year-old-woman, were fatally shot by Chicago police as officers were responding to a domestic dispute early Saturday morning.
