Police in the DC area are warning the public about a scary telephone scam, in which victims are told that members of their family have been kidnapped. On Monday, a Prince George’s County man received a call from a person who told him to send cash to a Money Gram in Puerto Rico, or his family would be killed. The victim wired 500-dollars to the Money Gram and by the time he contacted his family and found that they were okay, the money had been collected.
