Hair Stylist Extraordinaire Quinten Nicholas McCray Appears on The Thornton Business Hour on May 15 Tune in to WOL 1450 AM tomorrow for The Thornton Business Hour, with special guest hair stylist Quinten Nicholas McCray. Pat and Quinten will discuss the art of hair, the relationship between hair and self esteem, and how to become successful in the business of Hair.

At the age of 14, Quinten realized his dream of professionally creating art through hair in his mother’s home. He mesmerized his family members, friends and neighbors with his talents. He was so well known that by the age of 15 he was recruited by one of the top hair salons in downtown Washington, D.C. He impressed the well-seasoned staff with his extensive knowledge, techniques and trendsetting signature styles.

Quinten is currently practicing his craft at Vernon Martin’s Salon, in Washington, D.C., on Capitol Hill.

Quinten has traveled extensively mentoring and training students in all aspects cosmetology. He has done platform shows for Nairobi Products Inc., and Influence Hair Care Company. His styling expertise has paved the way for him to be called upon by such noted clientele as: Grammy and Tony Award winning artist Jennifer Holliday; actors Anika Noni Rose, Kimberly Elise, and the late Nell Carter; philanthropist and wife of actor Forest Whitaker, Keisha Whitaker; Chief Advisor to President Barack H. Obama, Valerie Jarret; former Mayor of Washington, D.C. Sharon Pratt Kelly, and news anchor/radio/TV host Gayle King.
