(Upper Marlboro, MD) – A court in Prince George’s County has thrown out a speed camera lawsuit, saying the plantiffs took too long to pursue the case. A judge says residents of Riverdale Park had 180-days to file a complaint, but instead they waited a year. A group of people filed the five-million dollar class-action suit last August against the Town of Riverdale Park, claiming thousands of speeding tickets were unlawful because town civilian employees approved them and not police.
