Michigan Gov. to Drink Flint Tap Water

Beleaguered Flint, Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder tried to make a statement by taking home five jugs of filtered tap water from the city on Monday, vowing to drink and cook it over the next month. He said he hopes his decision to drink the tap water himself would “alleviate some of the skepticism and mistrust.” … “Flint residents made it clear that they would like to see me personally drink the water, so today I am fulfilling that request,” said Gov. Snyder in a statement. State Senator Jim Ananich said he thinks the focus should be on finding resources for Flint residents. “We’re very quick to do press releases and press events and very slow after that to get the resources,” said Sen. Ananich. Flint residents have received filters to remove the lead from their tap water, however they still remain skeptical about whether it is safe or not. Read more.

And I saw the greatest people I’ve ever seen in action.” After making the mistake, he failed to issue a correction. Trump is expected to do well in New York’s primary, slated to take place on Tuesday. Read more.

Fans File Lawsuit Against Kanye West and TIDAL

Rapper Kanye West and TIDAL are in hot water after fans filed a lawsuit surrounding West’s new album, The Life of Pablo. Justin Baker-Rhett claims he feels deceived by West and the music streaming company because he was under the impression the album would only be available on TIDAL. It was later offered on Spotify and Apple Music. “Our phones are ringing off the hook from class members who are very disappointed in Kanye and Tidal. They feel like they were duped. If they want to make the argument that you can never trust anything Kanye says in a business context, I think that’s very dangerous for them,” said his lawyer Jay Edelson. “This was a carefully written series of tweets, and he made it very clear the only way to listen was to get on Tidal. It’s not like someone shoved a microphone in his face and he said something. This was a well-planned business decision, and we feel very confident that at the end of the day, a jury will agree that when a megastar like Kanye tells fans you can rely on what I’m saying, he should be held accountable.” The lawsuit, which could end up being worth $84 million, is seeking punitive damages and restitution. Kanye West’s reps and the TIDAL team have yet to release a statement. Read more.
