Every Thursday, we spotlight some of the amazing things that are going on in HBCU’s and this one here is special.
Philanthropist Patricia Turner Walters donates her $2.5 million dollar art collection to Howard University to honor her late husband: Dr. Ronald W. Walters, internationally renowned scholar and activist. It includes some of the earliest artwork from African-American’s in this country.
The exhibition is slated to open this spring and Walters talks about the project and honoring her husband’s legacy on the Morning Goods.
